Storm-Surge Friday

Not as bad as it could have been, but freezing my mitts off (4C with a major gale-force wind-chill!) taking this one at St. Mildred’s Bay, Westgate, on the way back from ‘work’ today at the Quex Powell-Cotton Museum. At least it was fine!

Stopped off previously for a mocha at my new favourite café, Millie’s Beach Bar with its newly operational log-burner. I was hoping to post a video, but my currrent WordPress subs doesn’t allow videos in Blogs so I’ll have to weigh up whether it’s worth upgrading for the privilege.

Off to see the iconic London lads ‘darn at the seaside’ tonight at Margate’s Winter Gardens. Chas & Dave in all their glory, or possibly dotage!! At least there’s a well-rated band of rock and rollers supporting them. It’s going to be interesting to see what the demographic of the audience is. I hope they don’t keep everyone queueing outside until 7.15pm like they did for the BBC Radio show I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue we went to see a month or so ago.

Not entirely sure what the weekend has in store, other than it featuring Xmas tree decoration, etc. and probably a visit to Arlington Street Xmas Market in Ramsgate on Sunday (weather permitting).
